PHRM 753 Wellness (NBPE)

This elective course offering is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's eight dimensions of wellness to assess and promote well-being for self and others. Students will learn about each dimension of wellness and engage in activities and discussion that provide a more in-depth understanding. This course also equips students with the knowledge and skills to respond to mental health crisis through completion of both QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training and a Mental Health First Aid Certificate Program. By the end of this course, students will have a stronger appreciation for the incorporation of well-being efforts as a part of daily workflow and be confident in responding to well-being concerns for patients and colleagues.
