PHRM 745 Introduction to Institutional Practice II
This Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) is one of five courses designed to focus on the development of professional skills required for contemporary pharmacy practice. The primary emphasis will be on pharmacist patient care services in the institutional setting, communication skills, and provision of interprofessional patient care through interactions with other healthcare providers (HCPs). Students will spend two weeks (80 contract hours, schedule to be determined by clinical preceptor) in an institutional practice setting where they are exposed to the roles and responsibilities of the pharmacist in institutional clinical practice and the importance of the pharmacist in patient care.
