CSC 111 Technology for Life

Information Technology literacy has become a fundamental requirement for students of all disciplines. Students will gain literacy in the underlying principles and vernacular of Information Technology. This course provides a solid foundation of the theoretical and practical principles driving technology and covers current issues including social aspects, privacy, security, and the impact to everyday life. Students will acquire skills to locate and access relevant information, critically evaluate online sources, and use the information effectively, ethically, and legally. Students will also learn to express problems and their solutions as computational steps.
