BIO 314 Applied Plant Science

This course focuses on plant structure and function in the context of plant production and use. Topics include agricultural and artificial vegetative propagation, abiotic and biotic stresses impacting plant growth, agricultural techniques of genetic modification. seed and vegetative plant propagation, nursery propagation, landscape plants and design considerations, and ethnobotany. Three hours of lecture/discussion and a three hour lab experience per week.
