BIO 105 Urban Biology
This course aims to introduce students to key biological concepts while highlighting unique issues related to urban geography and its impact on living systems. Topics include ecology and biodiversity, how human health may be affected by the environment, agriculture, and genetics. We will consider how we, as Christians, should endeavor to tend and keep the world God has given to us, from within an urban environment. Three hours lecture and two hours of lab each week. Lab will consist of both in-class experiments and outings to various sites in the Memphis area.
