SW 602 Foundations of Trauma
Foundations of Trauma is a three-credit hour master level elective that is required for MSW students seeking to obtain the Trauma Studies Certificate. This course will be grounded in the principles of trauma-informed care and will provide students with an understanding of trauma and its impact on the mind and body. In addition, students will be provided a conceptual framework for understanding trauma and evidence-based assessment tools and interventions for responding to and treating trauma across the lifespan.
