PEWS 118 Yoga
The goals of this class are to increase body awareness, relaxation, and improve alignment and flexibility through slow micro movements within Iyengar Yoga positions and by means of yogic breath. Rather than holding positions for long periods of time, we will explore variations of positions within postures and explore use of props to support the most effective versions of postures for each individual. This activity course is taught from a Christ-centered perspective incorporating Christian mindfulness to aid students in their physical, biopsychosocial, and spiritual development.
