MAT 150 Mathematics for Teachers
This course is designed to introduce the student to problem solving strategies using deductive and inductive reasoning. It is also designed to help the students gain procedural and conceptual understanding of the real number system with a focus on rational numbers and the properties of operations within that system. The course includes an experience with Euclidean geometry that includes study of basic shapes and their properties along with a selection of proofs.
