APS 205 Leading Across Cultures
This course is designed to provide participants from a variety of programs of study and a variety of vocational goals with the foundational theories and concepts of intercultural engagement. With this foundation, students then consider these concepts both through a critical framework and as they relate to their own lives. Specifically, students will explore the foundations of intercultural theory and research through readings and lectures. They will consider the lived experience of intercultural engagement in the workplace through discussion forums and the completion of a case study. Additionally, the student will assess intercultural content in film and write a paper to express their opinions of how intercultural relationships affect their thought processes. The theme of the course is to recognize challenges of leading across cultures in contemporary contexts through readings and written assignments
