MABT 520 Historical Theology
Examines the theology of the church from the first century through contemporary times with an emphasis on the Early Church Fathers through the Reformation. This course motivates students to develop an informed and effective theological method in the context of history and culture, and the strength and errors of the past, by studying the historical practices and conclusions of some of those who sought to understand the word by the Spirit before us and to enact its truth in the life of the church.
