NUR 430 Leadership and Management in Nursing
Prerequisites: NUR 330 and 421. Study of health care organizational structures and the professional nurse's role as a patient advocate, leader, manager, and change agent. Emphasis is on the application of the theories principles of leadership and management in the context of the health care delivery system. Use of the research process is identified as a management tool to test alternative solutions on which to base decision-making.
