COM 487 Internship in Journalism
Prerequisite: COM 121; 2 required courses in the major; Permission of the chair. The main purpose of an internship in Journalism is to provide the major with an opportunity to practice and enhance skills and knowledge in a real-world environment. The experience is more than a job in the sense that it continues the student's education at a higher level of engagement. It is also an opportunity for the student to connect what they are learning in the classroom to an authentic experience in their discipline. Course may be repeated for credit.
