The College of Education includes the School of Education and the Department of Physical Education-Wellness-Sport. The College offers seven undergraduate majors and four graduate degrees, including the M.A.Ed., M.Ed., Ed.S., and Ed.D. Two of the programs offered in the College are nationally accredited, including Teacher Education (CAEP) and Athletic Training (CAAHEP). Graduate programs are offered on the Jackson, Germantown and Hendersonville campuses. The College offers online degrees at the Masters, Education Specialist, and Doctoral levels.

Connecting these disciplines is a commitment to the implications and applications of the Great Commandment: a sincere desire to apply knowledge and improve the lives of people in the name and through the love of Christ.

Mission Statement

The mission of the College of Education is to prepare students for social service in ways that are reflective, pragmatic and consistent with Christ’s teachings, whether it is to teach, to lead, to assist, or to rehabilitate.
