CSC 226 Introduction to AI and Machine Learning

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Students will explore the concept, techniques, and real-world users of AI systems, including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, and large language models (LLMs). The course covers essential topics such as prompt engineering, AI capabilities and limitations, ethical and responsible use of AI, and the development of trustworthy systems. We will also examine specialized areas including sentiment analysis, explainable AI, and human-AI collaboration.
